Performance "Observers"
What is the essence of this performance?
This is a performance-observation of reality and oneself. Spectators simultaneously become observers and those being watched.
During the performance, passers-by had the opportunity to freely take a place on a chair and become an “observer,” while the frame created by the painting fences off part of the urban space for the observer, turning it into a living picture, with a constantly changing plot.
Performance details
For this performance, we made a large frame of wood and polypropylene with our own hands. It was lighter than normal for easier transfer and installation, but durable to withstand street conditions. We spray-painted the frame to give it an antique effect, priming viewers to admire the view from the frame.
