Invisible Visible Perfolection
What is the topic of the lecture?
In perfolection, we worked with Ramina Abilova, associate professor at the Anthropological School of Tyumen State University, candidate of historical sciences, specialist in the field of photographic research, member of the International Council of Museums (ICOM).
Ramina’s lecture is about photography as a way to record memory, and about the secrets that old photos can keep.
In addition to her lecture material, we took three documentary stories of women of three different ages related to photography in their lives.
It was a “citizen’s theater”, since the women were not professional actresses and told stories from their own lives.
Performers: Tata Brylina, Sofia Mozzhegorova, Anna Pereverzeva.

Our director's decision
During the performance, the participants themselves constantly took photos of the auditorium in real time, which were broadcast on one of the screens in the auditorium.
We divided the perfolection process itself into parts corresponding to the stages of processing and developing old film photography, using lighting and sounds appropriate to the development stage. At the end of the lecture, the resulting photograph of the performance participants was shown on the screen in front of the audience.
