Performance “Forever Here and Now”
What is the performance about?
The cast members share their personal, true stories under the theme «A Moment I Will Always Remember.» They talk about an attempted murder of their husband, a Caesarean section, the death of a loved one before their eyes, their first kiss, and their first flight. They also talk about what it’s like to walk around the city dressed as Spider-Man.
Digital artist Annette Bad created videos specifically for the performance, introducing each story. They reflect her perception of the essence of each novella and add visual depth to the performance.
Significance of the project
As we work on the play, the participants’ simple personal stories become no less important and meaningful than classical Greek narratives. Through self-irony and reflection, fragments of ordinary life take on the resonance of almost biblical parables.
Each of our lives is precious and wondrous, and the cast shares these intimate moments with the audience in the safe space of the performance. Sometimes with self-irony, sometimes with trepidation, they will relive these moments—with each other and with the audience.
Where did we show the performance?
The play was first performed at the Kolokolnikov Estate Museum as part of the Night of the Arts 2025, which was held across the country. Due to its great success with the public and requests for a repeat performance for those who couldn’t get seats, the play was staged at the Cosmos Youth Theatre Center.
